The Gitschhütte mountain hut lies at the foot of Mt. Gitschberg, at 2,210 m a.s.l.
Its panoramic terrace overlooks a sweeping view encompassing over 500 mountain peaks.
Several vantage platforms are also available on site. Hot dishes and South Tyrolean specialities are served all day, with different specials every day. Sweet dishes include home-made strudel and cakes as well as fruit juices. The hut welcomes children with a large playground featuring a trampoline, a climbing trail and more.
The Gitschhütte is easily accessible through a forest road or the new panoramic adventure trail lined with wooden sculptures, which leads directly to the new Sun Park. Both trails are pram-friendly with estimated walking times of 15-20 minutes each.
